As I am taking two chemistry and one biology course this semester, I am focusing on how important it is not to only study the material, but also how important it is to go and have hands-on experience by working in the lab. We learn and then we do. We practice and then we play.It is the same way in our lives as Christ Followers. It is not enough to only read or even meditate on The Scriptures...we must live them as well. Look how Colossians 2.6-7 says it:
My counsel for you is simple and straightforward: Just go ahead with what you've been given. You received Christ Jesus, the Master; now live him. You're deeply rooted in him. You're well constructed upon him. You know your way around the faith. Now do what you've been taught. School's out; quit studying the subject and start living it! And let your living spill over into thanksgiving.
So like the chemistry lab where I donn my cool goggles and lab apron, I want to in all of life, Put on The Full Armor of God and start living! "Letting my living spill over into thanksgiving!"
